These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Stitch Factory during its current Founding Creator Beta period. By creating an account or using Stitch Factory, you agree to these Terms.
In these Terms, “Stitch Factory,” “we,” and “us” refer to Stitch Factory as it currently operates during this beta period.
This is a first-pass, product-specific draft written directly from the current implementation — it has not been reviewed by an attorney.
Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18 years old to use Stitch Factory. This requirement is not currently verified automatically at sign-up or application; by using Stitch Factory, you represent that you meet it.
You need an account to use Stitch Factory, created with an email and password or via “Continue with Google.” Beta signup includes 30 days free with no credit card required. To use clipping, verify your email, create a workspace, accept the creator agreements, confirm you are 18 or older, and complete onboarding. Your 30 days start when you accept the agreements; no paid subscription or automatic billing is created. You’re responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and for activity that happens under your account.
Beta service
Stitch Factory is currently offered as a Founding Creator Beta. Features, availability, and pricing may change, and the service may be modified, limited, or discontinued at any time as it develops. It’s provided without the guarantees you’d expect from a mature, generally available product.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use Stitch Factory to:
- Violate any law, or the rights of any person or platform (including the terms of YouTube, Restream, or any other service you connect).
- Upload or stream content you don’t have the right to use.
- Attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the service or other creators’ accounts, workspaces, or content.
- Abuse rate limits, credentials, or automated capture in a way designed to circumvent the service’s normal operation.
Your content and responsibility
You’re solely responsible for your livestreams, the clips you create, and any media (images, video, captions) you upload or generate through Stitch Factory. You’re responsible for having the rights necessary to stream, clip, and post that content, and for complying with the terms of any platform you connect (YouTube, Restream, and the streaming software you use).
Ownership of your content
You own your streams, clips, and uploaded media. Using Stitch Factory does not transfer ownership of your content to us. We only process your content to provide the service to you — ingesting your live feed, capturing clips you mark, generating captions you request, applying the edits and overlays you choose, rendering the output, and delivering it back to you (and, where you’ve connected them, to YouTube or Restream). We don’t use your content for any purpose beyond operating the service for you, and we don’t claim ownership of it by virtue of you using Stitch Factory.
Connected services
If you connect YouTube, you authorize Stitch Factory to manage live broadcasts on your YouTube account on your behalf, through Google’s own OAuth authorization — subject to YouTube’s own terms. If you connect Restream, you provide your own Restream credentials, and that connection is subject to Restream’s own terms. Stitch Factory isn’t responsible for the availability, behavior, or terms of these third-party services.
Feedback
If you send us feedback, suggestions, or ideas about Stitch Factory, you agree we can use them to improve the service without any obligation to you.
Render credits
Rendering a clip uses a render credit, or is unlimited if your account or workspace has been granted unlimited rendering. Render credits are an entitlement to use the service, not currency, and do not represent any monetary value. Stitch Factory does not currently offer any way to purchase render credits.
Service availability and changes
We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of Stitch Factory, including features, render limits, and connected-service support, especially during this beta period. We’ll try to give notice of material changes where practical, but can’t guarantee it during beta.
Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, misuse the service, or if required by law or a connected platform’s own terms. You may stop using Stitch Factory and request account deletion at any time.
Disclaimers
Stitch Factory is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including as to availability, reliability, or fitness for a particular purpose — consistent with its current Beta status.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Stitch Factory will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Stitch Factory harmless from claims arising out of your content, your use of the service, or your violation of these Terms or any connected platform’s terms.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as Stitch Factory changes, particularly as it moves beyond beta. We’ll update the date at the top of this page when we do. Continuing to use Stitch Factory after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles.
